Brendan Dempsey serves as Senior Financial Accountant for AIP Capital in Dublin, Ireland. He has over seven years’ experience in the aviation industry.
Before joining AIP in 2023, Mr. Dempsey previously worked on the finance team at AMCK Aviation, an aircraft lessor with a portfolio of 130 aircraft. While at AMCK, he worked on the transaction which saw the sale of its $4.3 billion aircraft portfolio to Carlyle Aviation Partners. Mr. Dempsey’s responsibilities at AIP include all day-to-day finance functions, financial reporting, debt covenant reporting, involvement in the audit process as well as the management of the tax compliance and advisory processes for the group.
Prior to his role at AMCK, Mr. Dempsey trained in the Financial Services Tax division at KPMG where he qualified as a Chartered Accountant and Chartered Tax Adviser. While at KPMG, he worked on the tax compliance and advisory teams for several aviation clients. Brendan holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting degree from Gardner-Webb University in North Carolina.
