Neil O’Donnell serves as General Counsel of AIP Capital in Dublin, Ireland. He is responsible for management of the legal and transactional functions of AIP. Mr. O’ Donnell brings over 14 years’ of legal and transactional experience in aircraft leasing and aviation finance.
Prior to joining AIP, he worked for Aergo Capital where he held the role of General Counsel as well as being Company Secretary and a member of the Executive Team. Having joined Aergo in 2018, he was responsible for building out the legal function and team. Before joining Aergo, Mr. O’ Donnell spent three years at Willis Lease Finance Corporation where he held the role of Corporate Counsel, with a particular focus on aircraft engine leasing and trading. Mr. O’Donnell started his career as a trainee solicitor with Matheson Solicitors in 2008 and he spent over seven years in private practise working for top tier Irish and City law firms with a continued focus on aviation finance and aircraft leasing.
Mr. O’ Donnell holds a Bachelor of Civil Law and an LLM (E-Law) from University College Cork as well as a diploma in Aircraft Leasing and Finance with the Law Society of Ireland where he has been invited back as a guest lecturer.
