Greg Kahn serves as General Counsel for AIP Capital in Stamford, Connecticut. He also serves as a member of the Board of Managers of AIP Capital. Prior to joining AIP, Mr. Kahn served as General Counsel of Priority 1 Holdings LLC, a privately-held holding company that includes a U.S.-based airborne ISR (Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance) business and a U.K.-based cargo airline. Mr. Kahn’s responsibilities include all day-to-day legal functions, corporate governance matters, equity and debt capital-raising initiatives, servicer contracting matters, litigation and dispute resolution management, joint ventures and strategic growth plans.
Prior to his role at Priority 1, Mr. Kahn worked in private practice counseling family offices, private equity sponsors, real estate managers/developers, hedge funds, institutional investors and high net worth individuals with private capital transactions and other business matters, including, control and minority investments, co-investments, capital raising and regulatory compliance. Mr. Kahn’s experience also includes serving as General Counsel of a boutique global asset management and investment banking firm with $2 billion in assets and offices in New York, Switzerland and Germany as well as co-founding a private investment firm in 2009 focusing on small turnaround situations. Mr. Kahn began his legal career in 2000 as an associate at Paul Weiss based in New York where his practice encompassed private equity, M&A, venture capital, corporate finance, and securities offerings. Mr. Kahn has been actively involved in negotiating, documenting and closing complex transactions with an aggregate deal value well in excess of $10 billion.
Mr. Kahn received his Juris Doctor degree in 2000 from New York University School of Law and his Bachelor of Arts degree from Emory University in 1994. He is admitted to practice law in New York and Connecticut.
