Gavin O’Donovan

Gavin O’Donovan serves as Financial Controller for AIP Capital in Dublin, Ireland. He has over seven years’ experience in the aviation industry. Mr. O’Donovan is responsible for a broad spectrum of responsibilities within the Finance function, with a focus on financial, management reporting and forecasting.

Before joining AIP in 2024, Mr. O’Donovan previously worked on the finance team at Castlelake, a global private investment firm. Mr. O’Donovan was instrumental in shaping the company’s financial framework for modern, fuel-efficient aircraft, overseeing the financial reporting of over 120 aircraft assets from the very beginning.

Prior to his role at Castlelake, Mr. O’Donovan trained in the Financial Services audit division at KPMG where he qualified as a Chartered Accountant. While at KPMG, he worked on the audit of several large lessors including GECAS, prior to its sale. Gavin holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University College Dublin and is an Associate of the Institute of Chartered Accountants Ireland.
